Job Description:

dna13 is looking for a Test Specialist to be a part of our development team in our Ottawa office (Byward market). This position is responsible for product verification, product test requirements, review and test case designs, as well as test automation design.
Core Required Skills :
- 2-5 years overall commercial software testing experience
- 1-3 years Web application testing experience
- Creative thinking and problem solving skills and experience
- Analytical skill, detail orientation and thoroughness
- Mastery of test strategy and test scenario planning
- Experience developing test automation suites and test scripts
- Database testing and administration skills
- Experience writing clear, actionable and reproducible defect reports
- Understanding of designing reusable test cases
- Experience in Java servlets, JSP and Application Servers
Nice to Have:
- Performance and security testing experience
- Experience with test automation environments
- Experience testing web site front-ends with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Experience with web services and web based technologies including XML
Operational and Interpersonal Skills
- Proven ability to effectively communicate issues and defects to developers
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle processes and alternate methodologies
- Proven ability to operate in dynamic environment fast paced environment
- Proven communication and relationship skills necessary to work within a project team/matrix environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable in an open, collaborative environment
Education
- Post secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science or equivalent
